Mission Statement

FCLS offers services in the following manner:  

  1. Summary Advice – Clients may contact our office by telephone or by walk-in during intake hours.
  2. Representation – FCLS may take on a file and represent a client if the circumstances are appropriate and all the criteria are met.
  3. Community Development, Outreach and Public Legal Education

These services are mandated both by Legal Aid Ontario and our own constitution. An example of some of the services me might offer are:

  • legal education seminars to both clients and other professionals
  • attendance at public functions
  • involvement with programs in conjunction with other local groups

These specific services are offered based on the needs of the community as well as our own availability
